Eri story from ErizonAssam

Eri, the peace silk is found in north east part of India, China, Thailand and some parts of Japan. Eri word comes from Era (এৰা) which means 'castor' in Assamese language. The silkworm feeds on castor plant.
Eri silk is known as ahimsa and peace silk as in its processing the silkworm doesn't get killed.

It has got the thermal property, which keeps it warm in winter and cool in summer. The eco friendly organic eri silk is natural, fine and dense in structure. It's threads make it durable and strong.

Rooted in the heart of Assam, Erizon is dedicated to the legacy of Eri silk, a fabric revered not only for its texture and warmth, but for its cruelty-free and ethical origins. Founded by Mrs. Ankita, Erizon emerged from a deep respect for Assam’s textile traditions and a personal commitment to fashion that honors both people and the planet.

Eri silk, often called Ahimsa silk, lies at the core of everything we create. It allows the silkworm to complete its natural life cycle, making every garment an expression of compassion, patience, and responsibility. This philosophy defines Erizon’s approach to slow fashion where quality is never compromised for speed, and every piece is crafted with intention.

At Erizon, clothing is not seasonal consumption.
It is heritage, ethics, and longevity.

Our collections focus on quality over quantity, thoughtfully designed silhouettes, and authentic Assamese craftsmanship. From everyday kurtis to elegant sarees and timeless ethnic wear, each garment is made to last emotionally and physically transcending trends while remaining quietly contemporary.

We work with natural fabrics, ethical production practices, and environmentally mindful processes, supporting artisans and preserving skills that deserve continuity, not replacement. Every Erizon piece reflects a belief that fashion should leave a lighter footprint, not a louder one.

Erizon is for those who choose ethical fashion with purpose, who value sustainability without sacrificing elegance, and who wear tradition not as nostalgia but as a conscious way forward.
